`what's your story?;;
History:
Clara didn't know much about her past during her early years. She was born in Greenwich, Connecticut to Nancy Borstel. At first, Clara was content with just living with her mother, not bothering to question where on Earth her father was, or who it was that Nancy sent birthday cards too every year. Of course, Clara asked, for she was a very curious child. However, these questions were usually narrowly dodged by her mother, whom insisted Clara wouldn't understand until she was older.
Meanwhile, Clara excelled in school, finding math quite enjoyable-- in contrast to her other classmates. She was at the top of her class, never getting anything but an A on assignments. However, despite her intelligence, she proved to be a solitary person; whether it was because the other children didn't like her, or because Clara didn't like them is still a mystery to her.
Nevertheless, there comes an age when all children want answers from their mother. The time came when Clara turned twelve. She'd spend every chance she got pressing on the subject of her father, and trying to prove to her mother that she was old enough to "understand" the so- called "complicated situation".
Clara's father was an FBI agent, and the mysterious birthday cards were to none other than Clara's sister, Morgan. But that was all Nancy would tell her. When questioned on their whereabouts, she wouldn't budge, and bitterly told her daughter she wouldn't lose another one of her children to her husband.
After this conversation, Clara steered clear of the topic, and instead focused on her studies. High school proved to be a lot more enjoyable than high school. Clara had reached that point in adolescence where one is comfortable with one's identity. She was bubbly and social, proving to be very congenial despite her status as "one of the math nerds". She was her high school valedictorian, and already knew she wanted to go to Yale, and her scholarship would make attending possible.
By this time, Clara knew she had no two greater loves than that of math and computers. She was always very good with her hands, and tended to remark on the fact that her piano playing had prepared her for the world of computation. She enjoyed spending hours, trying to decipher countless sheets of data and information.
With her knowledge of computers, Clara embarked on her own search for her lost family, unbeknownst to her mother. Finally, she managed to track them down (the fact that her father was an FBI agent was a good clue) to the town of Cordova in New Jersey.
At the time, Clara was just about to finish her junior year at nineteen, having graduated a year early from high school. Deciding to wait until her senior year to go looking for Jack and Morgan, Clara kept her knowledge a secret.
Finally, one day, about three weeks after the beginning of summer vacation, Clara told Nancy Borstel she was moving to Cordova, New Jersey.
Nancy, knowing the reason for her daughter's change of heart, prohibited her from even thinking about New Jersey.
But Clara had already made her mind. She packed her bags and left Yale, and her mother, behind.
