Cassidy hated waiting for a table - that's why she hated eating at most of the resturants in Cordova. So when Teagan asked where they were going to eat dinner tonight, Cass suggested Andre's. It's a local pub... the place isn't very clean at all or sanitary, but the food is good and the people that work there are so sweet. But the best part are the drunken fights that seem to break out over pool games and hustling. They make great entertainment.
Cass was on dinner break from the tattoo parlor she owns, Ink Inc... and Teagan is just getting off work from the school but has rehearsal tonight. This was the best time of day to see her girlfriend and spend time with her before she comes home later tonight. The parlor closes late anyways... so this routine works for them.
Cassidy took a seat at a high top table for two, she was the first to arrive since the pub was just around the corner from the tattoo parlor. She ordered herself a beer and hung her hat on the back of her chair. She ate some nuts from the bowl in front of her... noticing her ring on her left hand. She smiled at the memory...
It was their fourth anniversary. She had taken the day off work and cooked Teagan dinner. Once Teagan got home, they ate and just after she served dessert she got down on a knee in front of Teagan - handing her a ring box. "Tey, you know how much I love you" she said, "I want to spend the rest of my life for you... I know we can't legally get married, but I want you to wear this as a symbol of your commitment to me..." She opened the box for her, revealing to her a simple white gold wedding band. Then showed her a ring on her own left hand.
Back to reality, her beer was dropped off at the same time she saw Tey come in the door. She waved...

There wasn't a day in her life that Teagan didn't love her job. There also wasn't a day that she didn't love her girlfriend. That being said, today was the best of both worlds. She wasn't exactly thrilled that she wouldn't get to spend much time with Cass today, but she was willing to take what was offered. As Teagan as she was concerned, she and Cassidy had an eternity to spend together. A few busy nights during the week (errr... five busy nights during the week) wouldn't ruin everything.
Dressed in a casual pair of black slacks, a white button down, and black low heeled shoes, Teagan looked graceful and elegant and completely out of place in the pub. She looked around the room, sure that Cass would have gotten there first. A grin brightened her face and she waggled her fingers in Cassidy's direction when she found her. Teagan hurried across the room, refusing to stop even for the busy waitresses as she made her way to the table Cass was sitting at. "I thought I'd never get here," she commented, kissing the other woman's cheek. "How's your day been?" Teagan took a seat, asked the waitress for a glass of chardonnay, and turned her full attention toward the love of her life.

A smile came across her face as she waved to her lovely girlfriend, who was now crossing the room to sit next to her. She kissed her cheek as Teagan took her seat at the table and ordered herself a drink. Cassidy made no comments about her love being late, but replied to her question with "Things at the shop have been slow, glad to get away for a while." She smiled at her, and placed a warm palm on her thigh under the table, squeezing gently in a loving way. "You look gorgeous today, by the way." She commented as she leaned in, adding another kiss to her girlfriend's cheek.
She backed away, trying not to draw all the bar's attention to them. "How are things at school?" She asked, making some small time conversation before the waitress came back again to take their food orders. Although they come here enough, the waitresses should know what their orders should be on a daily basis. Dinner out on a weeknight was a daily routine for a weekday. Weekends were spent out on the town or at home, just the two of them. Unless Tey had a show.

They tried to keep things low-key in public. It wasn't that either of them was embarrassed about their lifestyle. It was just that people didn't react too well to it. Teagan grinned at the feel of her girlfriend's hand on her thigh. She reached out and rested a palm against Cassidy's cheek. "You're not looking too bad yourself," she assured her. Technically, Cassidy could have been wearing a paper bag and Teagan would have thought she looked incredible.
She wasn't thinking too much about the school day anymore, and Teagan let out a sigh. She really loved her job, but children were increasingly less respectful. "It was alright... One of my kids got suspended today for bringing alcohol to school." Teagan shook her head and muttered a string of French curses under her breath. If there was anything in the world that she absolutely hated, it was when children missed school because they'd made stupid choices.
A crooked little smile played on her lips as her eyes slid over her girlfriend's face. Her gaze lingered on Cassidy's lips. Week nights were the worst. She hardly got to see Teagan during the week, and by the time the weekend came around, she was too tired to really enjoy what time they got to spend together.

Cassidy loved it when Teagan touched her skin - her hands were lotion soft. She smiled as Tey touched her face and kissed her fingers before she let her move away. Even though it wasn’t embarrassment that kept them apart in public – she did always feel just a little awkward kissing her girlfriend in front of a bunch of people. It wasn’t because she got embarrassed; she just hated sharing that intensely romantic moment with someone else in the room. It made more sense to her to keep majority of those things to their private life, at home.
Asking about her day, she was astonished when Tey told her about the kid bringing alcohol to school, and getting suspended. “That’s terrible – I can’t believe kids these days…” She was always a little sympathetic to Tey’s job. She knew how much Tey loves those kids, they mean a lot to her and she cares about their well being. She smiled when Teagan started to curse under her breathe… in trying to calm her girlfriend she leaned in close, whispering “you know it turns me on when you talk French…”
Cass knew that this week, just like many others, was going to be stressful for them both. Cass is working two jobs and Tey works long hours at hers.
